Mutations in RUNX1 induce myelodysplastic changes in mouse bone marrow. A trinucleated neutrophilic metamyelocyte was observed in a Wright-Giemsa-stained cytospin of bone marrow from a mouse that received a transplant of RUNX1(41-214) -expressing cells. RUNX1(41-214) is a truncated protein corresponding to the runt homology domain of human RUNX1. See the article by Matsuura et al on page 4028.
