Interleukin-13 (IL-13) and its receptors represent novel markers of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). Immunofluorescence staining reveals CD4+ cells (green) in the tumor infiltrate of CTCL skin that coexpress IL-13Rα1 (red). IL-13 induces CTCL cell growth in vitro and signals through IL-13Rα1.
