On page 192 in the 10 July 2014 issue, there are errors in Table 3. In the “Dose” column, the units for the doses of all vasopressors listed except dopamine should read “μg/min” rather than “μg/kg/min.” The corrected table is shown below. The error has been corrected in the online version, which now differs from the print version.
Table 3
High-dose vasopressors (all doses are required for ≥3 hours)
| Pressor . | Dose . |
|---|---|
| Norepinephrine monotherapy | ≥20 μg/min |
| Dopamine monotherapy | ≥10 μg/kg/min |
| Phenylephrine monotherapy | ≥200 μg/min |
| Epinephrine monotherapy | ≥10 μg/min |
| If on vasopressin | Vasopressin + norepinephrine equivalent of ≥10 μg/min* |
| If on combination vasopressors (not vasopressin) | Norepinephrine equivalent of ≥20 μg/min* |
| Pressor . | Dose . |

VASST Trial vasopressor equivalent equation: norepinephrine equivalent dose = [norepinephrine (μg/min)] + [dopamine (μg/kg/min) ÷ 2] + [epinephrine (μg/min)] + [phenylephrine (μg/min) ÷ 10].
