On pages 3782 through 3789 in the April 16, 2009, issue, there are errors in the text and in the data shown in Figures 1, 5, and 6; in Table 1; and in online-only supplemental Tables 1 and 2. The authors used a cell line they believed to be OPM-1, a multiple myeloma (MM) cell line, for some of their studies. They recently discovered that this cell line is not the original MM OPM-1 cell line, but actually instead represents a line similar or identical to the EBV-transformed line ARH77,1  as characterized by cytogenetics and gene-expression profile.

Accordingly, corrected tables that no longer pool the OPM1 and MM1S analyses, but include only the MM1S data, have been prepared. The corrected Table 1 is shown, and supplemental Tables 1 and 2 have been replaced online. In the text and in the labels of Figure 1, 5, and 6, all occurrences of “OPM-1” should have read “lymphoblastoid cell line.” In the legends of Figures 5 and 6, “OPM-1 cells” should have read “cells from this lymphoblastoid cell line.”
