CORRECTION

In the article by Liu et al, entitled “Molecular Pathogenesis of the Chromosome 16 Inversion in the M4Eo Subtype of Acute Myeloid Leukemia,” which appeared in the May 1, 1995 issue (Vol 85, No 9, pp 2289-2302), a correction should be noted.

Recent information has come to light which indicates that two of the references cited in this extensive review contained data which cannot be verified. Those references have been retracted from the journals in which they appeared, but readers of BLOOD might also wish to be alerted of this unfortunate circumstance. Specifically, reference 72A (referred to in one sentence on page 2294), and reference 101 (referred to in paragraph on page 2296) should no longer be considered as containing verifiable data.

The remainder of this extensive review article is unaffected by these disturbing revelations. We deeply regret these events.
