Blood VTH Second Look Program
The Second Look program provides you with an opportunity for a quick response to manuscripts previously reviewed at another journal. Simply submit the updated manuscript and the original reviews and within two business days of submission, you will be notified if your manuscript:
- Has been accepted and no additional review is required
- Requires some revision
- Is not appropriate for the journal
All submissions to the Second Look program should be within the scope of the journal and focused on clinical and mechanistic aspects of:
- Normal and abnormal hemostasis and vascular function
- Acquired bleeding and thrombotic disorders
- Disorders involving the venous, arterial, and microvasculature
Preparing your manuscript for Second Look
To participate, you must prepare your manuscript for a Second Look.
- Revise your manuscript according to the comments from the previous reviewer.
- Ensure all revisions are highlighted in the article file.
- Upload a document including the reviewer’s comments and your point-by-point responses as a supplemental file. You may also upload a clean copy of the manuscript as a supplemental file.
- Submit the revised version to Blood VTH. Mention the request for a Second Look in your cover letter and include the reviews from the previous journal.
When you submit your manuscript for a Second Look, the editors will quickly evaluate your submission in the context of the reviews.
