Plasma CXCL10 levels measured before start of therapy correlate with long-term responses to therapy. (A) CXCL10 levels measured 7 days before the start of therapy were lower in patients in whom serum HCV RNA was undetectable at the end of antiviral therapy than in those who remained viremic at the end of antiviral therapy. (B) CXCL10 levels measured 7 days before the start of therapy were lower in patients in whom serum HCV RNA remained undetectable 24 weeks after completion of therapy than in those who were viremic 24 weeks after completion of antiviral therapy.
