Role of the spleen in LDV-enhancement of antibody-mediated thrombocytopenia. Control and anti-mouse platelet rabbit polyclonal antibodies (3 μg) were injected 1 day after LDV infection or administration of saline into groups of 4 CBA/Ht mice that had been either splenectomized or mock-operated 2 weeks previously. Platelets were counted 2 days after antibody administration. Results are shown as means ± SEM.
