Ex vivo analysis of circulating lymphocytes from HIV-1–infected patients compared with healthy donors, as indicated: direct immunofluorescence of lymphocytes in whole blood, with Alexafluor 488–labeled anti-Vδ1 (A) or anti-Vδ2 (B) mAbs. Samples were analyzed using FACS gated to lymphocytes, and results are expressed as percentage of positive cells.
