IFN-α and IL-12 are produced by different cells within the PDC population that are at a different stage of maturation. (A) Purified PDCs (105) were stimulated for 12 hours with CD40L-transfected L cells and various ISS 5 μg/mL) or (B) C274 only (5 μg/mL). Cells were then characterized for cytokine production by intracellular flow cytometry analysis. (B) In addition, cells were costained for CD86 expression.
