Figure 3. Analysis of distribution of truncated COOH- and NH2-terminal RPS19 fused to GFP in transfected Cos-7 cells. The subcellular distribution of 6 COOH-terminal (A) and 7 NH2-terminal (B) truncated RPS19 fused to GFP described in Figure 1 was compared with human WT RPS19. We evaluated among 200 transfected cells (1) the percentage of cells showing exclusive or predominant nuclear staining (N); (2) the percentage of cells showing similar nuclear and cytoplasmic staining (N = C); and (3) the percentage of cells showing exclusive or predominant cytoplasmic staining (C). Independently, we evaluated from 200 cells the percentage of cells stained in the nucleoli (Nol). The data shown are averaged from 3 independent experiments.
