Figure 3. Real time quantitative PCR (Q-PCR) analysis of mononuclear cells (MNCs) and CD34+ cells from patients in CCR with imatinib mesylate treatment. BCR/ABL mRNA levels in MNCs and CD34+ cells were measured using a Q-PCR assay. Results were expressed as a ratio of BCR/ABL to the internal control gene GAPDH. Q-PCR results of BCR/ABL expression in CD34+ cells and MNCs for 8 patients are shown. Two patients did not have detectable BCR/ABL message in either total nucleated cells or CD34+ cells using this assay.
