Total PAI-1 antigen, PAI-1 activity, and t-PA–PAI-1 complexes were significantly increased by rhC5a at concentrations greater than 0. 1 μM (P < .001). t-PA activity was significantly decreased in samples obtained from cells treated with rhC5a at concentrations greater than 0.1 μM (P < .01).
