Contact with immobilized VN or FN inhibits the IFN-α–induced apoptosis of HCs.

Cells were cultured as in Figure 1 except that the plates were precoated with VN or FN or with BSA as a control surface. After 6 days of culture, cell death was measured by double staining with AO and EtBr (A; dead cells appear red, while live cells are stained green) and by PARP-1 cleavage (B).
