Expression of Bcl-XL in terminally differentiated erythrocytes.
Bcl-XL is expressed in terminally differentiated erythrocytes. (A) Western blot analysis of the expression of Bcl-XL (Ai) in erythrocyte plasma membrane extracts, erythrocyte whole cell lysates, Jurkat T cells, and platelets. Blots were stripped of bound antibody and reprobed with the use of anti–cytochrome c oxidase as a mitochondrial marker (Aii) and CD 45 as a lymphocyte marker (Aiii).
