(A) Western blotting was performed with known amounts of recombinant alpha adducin (lanes 1-5) for comparison to platelet samples from 2 individuals (lanes marked X). (B) A standard curve was generated by using NIH Image software to quantitate bands from (A) and convert to relative optical density.
