Effects of varying [Ca²⁺]_o levels on the profile migration of osmotic lysis curves of deoxygenated SS discocytes.

SS discocytes were suspended in solution C containing, in addition, the [Ca²⁺]_o concentrations shown above each graph. The suspensions were incubated at 37°C in a tonometer, and at time = 0, 1 mM vanadate was added to all suspensions except the controls.
