Recombinant gp350/220 protein does not inhibit LPS-induced MIP-1α production.

Costimulation of PBMC cultures with EBV (1:5 dilution) and LPS (10 ng/mL) was compared to cultures stimulated with LPS and a recombinant gp350/220 protein lacking the C-terminal membrane anchor (100 μg/mL). Stimulation with the N-terminal EBNA1 protein, p72 (100 μg/mL), was performed as a control experiment. MIP-1α concentrations were again determined after 48 hours of stimulation.
