TGF-β does not induce IgA production from adult CD27− and CB B cells. / Highly purified adult CD27+, CD27−, and CB B cells were cultured with TGF-β (0.1, 1, and 10 ng/mL) in the presence of SAC (0.01%) + IL-2 (50 U/mL) + IL-10 (50 ng/mL) + anti-CD40 mAb (1 μg/mL) with or without cross-linking by CD32T (40%) at a final cell density of 0.5 × 105 per well for 8 to 10 days. ELISA was used to measure IgG, IgM, and IgA contents. Similar results were obtained in 3 independent experiments. Results are expressed as the mean ± SD of triplicate determinations.
