The platelet count rises in a dose-dependent manner following the administration of PEG-rHuMGDF to apheresis donors.

The response of the donor median platelet count (+ SD) to placebo (▪), 1 μg/kg PEG-rHuMGDF (■), or 3 μg/kg PEG-rHuMGDF (░) administration. Platelet counts in donors were obtained on day 1 just prior to injection, on the indicated days thereafter, before (15, pre) and after (15, post) platelet apheresis.
