On establishment of palpable xenografts, the mice (8/cohort) received either PBS or recombinant human LZ-TRAIL (500 μg intraperitoneally daily for 14 days). TRAIL was well tolerated by the mice and suppressed the growth of the established human plasmacytomas, in contrast to the significant increase in the tumor burden generated in PBS-treated control mice.
