Involvement of TACE activity by the release of su-PAR from hMVECs.

The hMVECs were stimulated with or without the phorbol ester PMA (10⁻⁸ M) in the presence of the MMP and TACE inhibitors BB94 (10 μg/mL), and RS-16 (10 μg/mL) or the MMP inhibitor RS-11 (10 μg/mL) for 24 hours. Supernatant was collected, and su-PAR was determined by ELISA. The data are expressed as mean ± SEM of triplicate wells (in nanograms per well) and are representative of 2 independent experiments.
