Partitioning of FGF-2 between Matrigel and α₂M*.

Partitioning of ¹²⁵I–FGF-2 to Matrigel in the absence (1) or presence of α₂M* (2). ¹²⁵I–FGF-2, 15 ng, alone or 15 ng ¹²⁵I–FGF-2 incubated with 0.3 mg/mL α₂M* was added to Matrigel for 48 hours followed by solubilization of the Matrigel and SDS-PAGE. Radioactivity associated with the FGF-2 band was quantified on the Phosphorimager and expressed as a percentage of total ¹²⁵I–FGF-2 added. Data are mean of 4 experiments ± SD.
