Comparison of telomere length in CD4, CD8, and A2-GLC tetramer–positive cells in healthy controls and AIM patients. / Frozen PBMCs from 9 healthy controls or 12 AIM patients were stained with either CD4-biotin or CD8-biotin followed by strep-Cy5. A2-GLC-Cy5 tetramer staining was determined in 10 of the AIM patients. These cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde and then processed for flow-FISH using the telomeric PNA-FITC probes as described above. Samples from patients and healthy controls were stained and analyzed on the same day. At least 50 000 live cells were acquired and gates were determined as described in Figure 1B. Values represent the MFI. TheP values represent the significance as assessed by the Mann-Whitney test.
