(A,B) BALB/3T3 cell lines stably transfected with no CD43 (3T3), CD43 (3T3-CD43), CD43 plus C2GnT (3T3-CD43-C2GnT), or C2GnT (3T3-C2GnT) cDNA were cultured in 24-well plates overnight and used for adhesion target cells. ⁵¹Cr-labeled M12.C3 B-lymphoma cells were added and cultured for 30 minutes, nonadherent cells were removed, and the radioactivity of adherent-cell–associated ⁵¹Cr was determined. The percentage of adhesion was calculated as the counts per minute of adhered cells divided by the counts per minute of input cells times 100. Two representative experiments (A,B) are shown.
