After cultures were treated with 1.3% DMSO for 0 to 7 days as indicated, aliquots containing 3 × 105, 1.5 × 105, 0.75 × 105, and 0.3 × 105 untreated cells (lanes 1-4, respectively) or 3 × 105 treated cells (lanes 5-11) were subjected to SDS-PAGE, followed by transfer to nitrocellulose and blotting with reagents that recognize the indicated polypeptide. Note that histone H1 and lamin B1 served as loading controls.
