A polyvalent antiserum raised against the carboxyl terminus of SOCS-3 was used to immunoprecipitate specific protein, which was then size fractionated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed for SOCS-3 with a monoclonal antibody to the protein.
