Colonies were scored after 7 days in culture as described in “Materials and methods.” (C) Cytosolic lysates from CEM (lanes 1-2) or CEM-Bcl-2 (lanes 3-4) cells either untreated (lanes 1 and 3) or treated for 72 hours with 10 mmol/L HMBA (lanes 2 and 4) were separated by SDS/PAGE and Western blotted for cytochrome c (15-kD protein) and then α-Tubulin (50-kD protein).
