Effect of PD98 059 and SB202 190 on eotaxin-induced eosinophil chemotaxis. / Eosinophils from 4 donors were preincubated with buffer, PD98 059 (10 μM), or SB202 190 (1 μM) for 30 minutes and applied to Boyden chemotaxis microchambers. The lower chambers contained eotaxin (10−8 mol/L). Eosinophils were allowed to migrate through polycarbonate membranes for 1 hour. The migrated cells were counted and presented as the number of eosinophils per 5 fields. Each experiment was performed in triplicate. The number of eosinophils migrated to buffer was below 20/5 fields. Both PD98 059 and SB202 190 inhibited eosinophil migration to eotaxin (*P < .05).
