Time course of adoptively transferred virus-specific footpad swelling.

(C) In ICAM-1 −/− mice given donor cells preincubated with soluble VCAM-1-Ig chimeric protein (sVCAM) or human Ig for control. Mice were inoculated in their right footpad with 10³ LD₅₀of LCMV. Four hours later they were injected with 5 × 107adherent cell-depleted splenocytes from wild-type donors, infected 8 days earlier with the same dose of virus iv.
