Effect of CD8+ lymphocytes on the frequency of Tax expression in autologous or heterologous CD4+ lymphocytes.

Various combinations of purified CD4+ and CD8+ lymphocytes of two patients with HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (TAZ and TAT) were cultivated for 24 hours and then processed for the concomitant detection of Tax and CD4 antigens.
