Molecular events of apoptosis induced by As₂O₃ treatment.

HL-60 control (neo) and cells stably transfected with Bcr-Abl, as well as K562 cells, were treated with the indicated concentrations of As₂O₃ for 7 days; cells were then harvested for the following Western blot analyses: (A) cytosolic levels of cytochrome c; (B) full-length PARP (116 kd) and 1 of its cleaved fragments (85 kd); (C) DNA fragmentation factor (DFF45) and its cleaved intermediate fragment (30 kd); (D) Bid proform (21 kd) and its 14-kd-activated cleaved product.
