CM induces expression of endogenous cytokine genes. P388D1(IL1) cells were grown in serum-free medium in the presence or absence of CM for 16 hours. RNA was harvested and analyzed by Northern blotting using probes for IL-6, MCP-1, IL-1β, TNF-, and β-actin. The blot was hybridized sequentially with the five probes.
