The relation of myocardial T2* and liver iron.

In this cohort, there was no significant relation between myocardial T2* and liver iron. There was also no significant relation of myocardial iron to serum ferritin. These findings strongly indicate that management of myocardial iron needs to be guided by direct myocardial iron measurements and not via surrogates.
