GIPAP model. Initial diagnosis is done by the approved CML physician, who then submits an application on behalf of the patient to the independent NGO administrator. The administrator verifies diagnosis as well as medical and financial criteria and approves the application, enrolling the patient in the program. The administrator informs the program owner to send 4 months of supply to that physician for that specific patient. The physician is required to periodically reassess the patient and seek continuation of treatment or close the case if there is progression or unacceptable adverse effects of the treatment.
