HELLP indicates a group of symptoms that occur in pregnant women who have: H = hemolysis, EL = elevated liver enzymes, LP = low platelet count; TTP, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura; HIV, immunodeficiency virus; HCV, hepatitis C virus.
