For each tissue investigated, cd45:DsRed, mhc2dab:GFP double-positive cells were sorted, cytospun, and stained with May-Grünwald-Giemsa. Differential cell counts were obtained by identifying at least 200 cells per organ. Except for the gut, in which presumptive mast cells were also found, 2 different and separable morphologies were observed: those of DCs and those of monocytes/macrophages.
