Figure 6. Soluble CD14 induces NFκB activity in CLL cells. CLL cells (1 × 107) were cultured for 20 hours in 1 mL of complete medium containing either 10 μg/mL soluble CD14 or 10 μg/mL LPS, or in plain medium. Cells were harvested, lysed and 5 μg total protein was used per well in an oligo-based chemiluminescent ELISA detecting the binding of p50 and p65 to oligos containing the NFκB consensus binding sequence. Values represent differences between signal and background (wt oligo − mut oligo) and are given as means and SDs of duplicates of one representative example of 3 independently performed experiments.
