BOECs were cultured from 5 donors for multiple passages. For all transcripts (each represented by one symbol): variance at P3 − variance at P7. Approximately 99% of transcripts show no significant change across this 10 000-fold increase in cell number; they fall within the data points demarcated by crossing the thin line, which is plus or minus 3 SD.
