Liver protein lysates were analyzed for Hfe (top panel) and Hfe-cMyc protein (middle panel) in 8-week-old wild-type (WT), Hfe^−/−, Hfe^−/−Hfe^C294Y, Hfe^−/− Hfe-truncated transgenic (Hfe^ΔCD tg), or Hfe^−/−Hfe-cMyc transgenic (Hfe^ΔCD−MYC tg) animals by Western blot. Equivalent loading of liver lysates was confirmed by immunoblot analysis for β-actin (bottom panel).
