Expression of mRNAs for xTRAILs and xDR-Ms. (A) The expression of xTRAIL1 and xTRAIL2 mRNAs was analyzed in various adult tissues by RT-PCR. (B) Real-time RT-PCR analysis of xTRAIL and xDR-M mRNAs during metamorphic stages and in adults. The cDNAs were amplified by PCR using gene-specific primer pairs (see Table 1). Globin-α1, -β1, and EF1α were used as markers for adult-type RBCs and for normalization, respectively.
