Figure 4. PBMC B-cell activation by LPS, CpG, and PorB. Purified peripheral blood B cells (106/mL) from healthy control patients were stimulated with LPS, 2.5 μg/mL; CpG, 1 μg/mL; and PorB, 10 μg/mL. After 48 hours, expression of CD69, CD25, CD40, HLA-DR, and CD86/80 molecules was assessed on CD19+ B cells with the use of flow cytometry. The histogram black line represents antigen stimulated cells, gray shaded area is media only, and black fill is unstained cells. Data shown are normalized to the number of events.
