Diagnostic lymph node biopsies from two cases of nodular sclerosis Hodgkin's disease (P1, P2) and one case of lymphocyte-rich classical Hodgkin's disease (P3) were disaggregated into single-cell suspensions and the cells fluorescently labeled with BU27 (αβ) and CerCLIP.1 (αβ-CLIP) MoAbs as described in the legend to Fig 2. For each staining, the 10 most intensely stained HRS cells were selected and used for densitometric analysis. The membrane densities of MHC class II αβ dimers and MHC class II αβ–CLIP complexes are expressed as the number of molecules per μm2 plasma membrane area.
