Immunofluorescence microscopic localization of different protein C variants transfected in the CHO cells protocols are described under Materials and Methods. In the cells expressing PC407 (a) and PC408 (b), cytoplasmic reticular staining was observed. In the cells expressing PC409 (c) and wtPC (d), a perinuclear spot with prominent brightness (arrow heads) was observed in addition to the cytoplasmic reticular staining. No immunofluorescence was detected in the mock-transfected CHO cells (e). Scale bars, 10 μm.
