Quantification of experimental liver metastasis in Timp-1^low and Timp-1^high mice. Macroscopic foci were counted 8 days after intravenous injection of 1 × 10⁵ ESbL-lacZ cells in Timp-1^low (A) and Timp-1^high (B) mice following whole-organ X-Gal staining. The numerous micrometastases in Timp-1^low mice are not included in this quantification.
