Growth of myeloid (CFU-GM) and erythroid (BFU-E) progenitor cells from BM CD34⁺, CD34⁺CD38⁻, or CD34⁺CD38⁺ cells. Triplicate, 1 mL assays were established with 500 cells in either 6 HGF (10 ng/mL of IL-1, IL-3, IL-6, G-CSF, GM-CSF, and SCF ) or 6 HGF + FLT3L (shown by the solid bar) and scored at day 14. CFU-GM and BFU-E numbers refer to the number of colonies grown from 1,000 cells with the respective phenotypes.
