Tissue fragments were obtained from regressing and progressive Burkitt's tumors established in BALB/c nu/nu mice by subcutaneous inoculation of 107 BL cells (CA46 cell line). Tumor regression was induced by weekly intratumor inoculation of 107 LCL (VDS cell line), as described. Regressing tumors were harvested when LCL-treated Burkitt's tumors developed typical tumor necrosis and scarring, lesions that are indicative of an effective antitumor response. Progressive tumors were harvested from untreated Burkitt's tumors. Total cellular RNA, isolated from tumor tissues, was subjected to RT-PCR analysis.
