cDNA sequence of FDCP-Mix Serpin 2A. The FDCP-Mix–derived sequence is complete unlike the previously reported teratocarcinoma derived cDNA,7 which lacked exon 2. The splice junction between exons 2 and 3 is marked with a #. We have also shown that the FDCP-Mix serpin 2A cDNA also has an untranslated exon 1 (data not shown). The Cys-Cys P¹ and P¹′ active site residues are marked and double underlined. The oligonucleotide primers sites indicated by underlining at positions 1255-1266 bp and position 1469-1482 bp were used to PCR amplify a 227-bp serpin 2A specific probe, which was used for all the Northern blots shown.
