T cells lacking HDAC11 are resistant to tolerance induction. (A) A schematic representation of the tolerance induction model is shown. CD4⁺ T cells isolated from OTII or OTII/HDAC11KO mice were adoptively transferred into C57BL/6 WT recipients. Two days later, mice were challenged with 100 µg OVA_323-339 peptide given IV or vehicle injection. Ten days following challenge, CD4⁺ T cells were harvested from mice and cocultured with WT splenocytes pulsed with OVA_323-339 peptide.
