HBZ-specific effector cells improved the survival ratio in an HBZ-induced ATL model. Naïve mice were inoculated intraperitoneally with lymphoma cells expressing HTLV-1 HBZ and then with peptide-stimulated splenocytes from rVV-HBZ–vaccinated mice. Survival curves were analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method, and statistical differences were calculated by the log-rank test; *P < .05 by the log-rank test.
